# eth\_getBlockTransactionCountByNumber - Flashblocks

This returns the pending number of transactions in a block.

## Parameters

| block number | QUANTITY | TAG, Yes | the pending transaction |

| result | string | `0x00...00` for preconfirmed; real hash once finalized |

## Use Cases

* Confirming a transaction has been received and included in a Flashblock
* Reading calldata / value of a preconfirmed transaction for follow-up processing
* Building activity feeds with sub-second latency

## Error Handling

| Status Code | Error Message     | Cause                                          |
| ----------- | ----------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| 403         | Forbidden         | Missing or invalid `<ACCESS-TOKEN>`            |
| -32602      | Invalid params    | Request parameters are missing or malformed    |
| -32603      | Internal error    | Server-side error while processing the request |
| 429         | Too Many Requests | Rate limit exceeded for your plan              |
