web3_clientVersion - Robinhood

Example code for the web3_clientVersion JSON-RPC method. Complete guide to using the web3_clientVersion JSON-RPC method in GetBlock.io Web3 documentation.

Returns the current client software version. On Robinhood Chain, this returns the underlying Arbitrum Nitro client version, confirming that the network runs on standard Nitro execution software.

Parameters

  • None

Request Example

curl --location --request POST 'https://shared.us-east-1.getblock.io/<ACCESS-TOKEN>/' \
--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--data-raw '{
    "jsonrpc": "2.0",
    "method": "web3_clientVersion",
    "params": [],
    "id": "getblock.io"
}'
import axios from 'axios';

const data = JSON.stringify({
    "jsonrpc": "2.0",
    "method": "web3_clientVersion",
    "params": [],
    "id": "getblock.io"
});

const config = {
    method: 'post',
    url: 'https://shared.us-east-1.getblock.io/<ACCESS-TOKEN>/',
    headers: {
        'Content-Type': 'application/json'
    },
    data: data
};

axios(config)
    .then(response => console.log(JSON.stringify(response.data, null, 2)))
    .catch(error => console.log(error));

Response Example

{
    "jsonrpc": "2.0",
    "id": "getblock.io",
    "result": "nitro/v3.2.1/linux-amd64/rustc-1.75.0"
}

Response Parameters

Field
Type
Description

result

string
