# kaia\_isContractAccount - Kaia

Example code for the kaia\_isContractAccount JSON RPC method. Complete guide on how to use kaia\_isContractAccount JSON RPC in GetBlock Web3 documentation.

This method returns true if the address is a Smart Contract Account and false if it is an Externally Owned Account. It reflects Kaia's explicit account-type model rather than inferring contract status from code length.

## Parameters

## Response Parameters

| Parameter | Type    | Description                                         |
| --------- | ------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| jsonrpc   | string  | JSON-RPC protocol version ("2.0")                   |
| id        | string  | Request identifier matching the request             |
| result    | boolean | true for a Smart Contract Account, false for an EOA |

## Error Handling
