# eth\_getBalance - Ethereum Classic

#### Parameters

`DATA` - string

20-byte account address from which to retrieve the balance.

`QUANTITY|TAG` - string

Integer representing a block number or one of the string tags latest, earliest, or pending, as described in Block Parameter.
