# account/coins - Cardano

This endpoint returns the unspent outputs, or coins, owned by an address, including any native tokens attached to each output. Coins are the inputs available for building a transaction.

## Parameters

The request body is a JSON object with the following fields.

| ------------------- | ------- | -------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| network\_identifier | object  | Yes      | The network to query                                            |
| account\_identifier | object  | Yes      | The account, with an address field                              |
| include\_mempool    | boolean | No       | Whether to reflect mempool spends. Breaks idempotency when true |

## Response Parameters

| block\_identifier         | object | The block the coins were read at     |
| coins                     | array  | Unspent outputs owned by the address |
| coins\[].coin\_identifier | object | The output reference as txhash:index |
| coins\[].amount           | object | The output value and currency        |

## Error Handling

| Error Code | Message                | Description                                                |
| ---------- | ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| 12         | Invalid account format | The requested account identifier is improperly formatted   |
| 4          | Block not found        | The requested block does not exist for a historical lookup |
| 5          | Internal error         | The node failed to read account data                       |
