# web3\_clientVersion - Blast

Example code for the web3\_clientVersion JSON-RPC method. Complete guide on how to use web3\_clientVersion JSON-RPC in GetBlock Web3 documentation.

This method returns the version string of the execution client serving the GIWA Sepolia endpoint. It is used to identify the node software and version behind a GetBlock endpoint for compatibility checks and debugging.

## Response Parameters

| jsonrpc   | string | JSON-RPC protocol version ("2.0")                       |

| result    | string | Client name and version string (e.g. op-geth build tag) |
