# sethdseed {disallowed} - Bitcoin Gold

#### Parameters

`newkeypool` - boolean, optional, default=true

Whether to flush old unused addresses, including change addresses, from the keypool and regenerate it.

`seed` - string, optional, default=random seed

The WIF private key to use as the new HD seed.
